We are looking for Service Managers to work with our Heads of Service to lead our operational delivery across several teams in MACH and assessment, Family Support and Protection, Cared for and Through Care teams and in our Fostering Service.

Following a challenging inspection in 2019, we are pleased to be working with our children, young people and their families, our employees and partner agencies to transform our social work practices and make a difference to the lives of the families and young people of Middlesbrough.

Requirements of the Post include:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field.

  • Where managing a statutory social work service, hold a formal social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.

  • Hold a current UK full driving license and have access to a vehicle.

  • At least 5 years’ experience at management level within a Social Care setting in the last 7 years.

  • Experience of providing supervision for staff.

  • Implementation of quality assurance systems.

  • Experience of Inspections with regulatory bodies.

  • Experience of conducting quality assurance audits.

  • Understanding of the complex needs of children, young people and families who require support at an Early Help Threshold and/ or statutory social work services.
