Middlesbrough Children Matter has a permanent job vacancy for a Portfolio Lead based in Middlesbrough offering a salary between £29,577 - £31,346 per annum plus up to £4,500 in sleep in rate.

Purpose of the Post:
To work directly with children, young people and their families and carers to deliver support and services, which promote change and development and meet physical, emotional, intellectual, behavioral, health, social and cultural needs.
This may include working with children with challenging behaviour, moderate to severe disability, and complex health needs.
Provide support, supervision, appraisal and advice to other staff who are undertaking this work.
Ensure that a high quality of care and support is provided which meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, behavioral, health, social and cultural needs of children. This will include working in the Home and also working to support children in the community, in other settings and working in children’s own homes.
Requirements of the Post include:
A recognised NVQ 3 or QCF diploma in working with children and young people, equivalent relevant to the work, or a willingness to work towards the QCF level 3.
A relevant degree or the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the theoretical concepts relevant to the work.
Understanding of the needs of children – including children with special needs and emotional difficulties.
Experience of working with children.
Experience of working in the children’s home setting.
A Full UK Driving License is a requirement for this post, with business insurance.
